About Us


The Hamilton Memorial Library is a small public library serving a population of 1,337.

The library’s primary role is to provide popular and current materials to all age groups. The library’s secondary role is that of independent learning, with an emphasis on computers, 

do-it-yourself, self-help and cook books. The library’s purpose does not include formal educational support, although every effort is made to assist teachers and students whenever possible. The Director contacts the local schools regarding reading lists and special projects. The library responds to all academic needs primarily through Interlibrary Loan and access to electronic database.

The Hamilton Memorial Library adheres to the American Library Association Bill of Rights,

Freedom To Read Statement, and Freedom to View.
